Why buy mayo when you can make your own at home and pronounce everything in it? It’s likely that the mayo we purchase at the store has GMOs.

Or this great recipe for making your own mayo at home.
- 1 egg
- Half to a full tablespoon of dry mustard
- A garlic clove
- A pinch of sea salt
- Juice of half a lemon (sometimes some of the rind) in the bowl of a food processor.
With the processor running, put the skinniest stream of one cup of extra virgin olive oil (really good stuff or even coconut oil to get both your saturated and monounsaturated fat in one place) into the bowl. This takes patience. Don’t be tempted to dump.
The recipe is versatile. You may use fresh herbs, more or less garlic, you can use vinegar instead of lemon, etc.
