Have you heard about U.P. Event Rentals?
When Ryan (my hubby) and I moved back to the Upper Peninsula in 2008, I resigned from my teaching position in lower Michigan.
We were blessed because Ryan was about to begin his teaching career as a Physical Education teacher.
We were worried because I was 9 months pregnant, and we knew we wouldn’t be able to survive on one teacher’s income for long.
That summer, we knew we needed to do something so we could stay in the Upper Peninsula.
Ryan had worked for and managed a rental company in lower Michigan since he was 14 years old. He only left the rental company when we moved to the U.P.
As things often happen, some opportunities presented themselves to acquire some inventory to begin our own rental company here, and so we started — U.P. Event Rentals.
We started out with a little more than a handful of jobs during the end of the summer of 2009.
By 2010 (mostly due to word of mouth), we were beginning to book rentals for every weekend. We even expanded our inventory due to customer demands.
During 2011, we saw growth again.
We are very excited for the 2012 rental season. The rental business is something we really enjoy during the summer.
Working with people and suggesting ideas, locations, etc. for their special events is a lot of fun.
The best thing about renting from us — you don’t have to worry about delivery (small fees outside our FREE delivery area), setting up or taking down! You’re too busy for that during a special event…let us do it for you!

The 40′ by 60′ event tent is the largest tent in the western Upper Peninsula and boasts beautiful cathedral windows.
